The International Trade Centre (ITC), in collaboration with the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN) of the Thai Ministry of Commerce, officially launched a survey of Thai exporters and importers in August 2013. Rapid Asia implemented the survey on behalf of ITC. The survey concluded in July 2014 having interviewed 1,067 companies.

The aim of the survey was to provide a better understanding of the trade obstacle experienced by Thai companies and to identify potential bottlenecks related to trade procedures and cross-border environment for private-sector development and improved export competitiveness for Thailand and the region.
