Labour Migration in the ASEAN Region: Assessing the Social and Economic Outcomes for Migrant Workers

In 2016, Rapid Asia carried out a 4 country baseline survey with return migrants in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam for ILO. The study examined how migration can contribute to positive outcomes for migrants upon return. As part of the study, Rapid Asia and ILO developed a Migration Outcome Index and is presented in this published paper. The paper was also presented at the ‘Migrating out of Poverty: from Evidence to Policy Conference’ in London, March 2017.
